I am a “second” career pastor after 6 years in the Navy, 35 years in industry (research; product development; director of engineering, marketing, and program management). I started at Fuller Seminary while working full time and graduated from PLTS in Berkeley. After my CPE, I was hired by Providence Hospital as a staff chaplain. My parish in Goleta was also the Lutheran campus ministry site along with our Episcopal partner. While in Goleta, I worked closely with the inter-religious homeless outreach team and started a shower trailer program which has grown to be Santa Barbara wide. I have been on synod council, chaired the synod the Reference and Counsel Committee, and served on the synod consultation committee, I am a trained mediator, and PLTS leadership formation facilitator. I am also a Stephen Ministry leader and have served as an internship supervisor. I am currently a supply pastor for the synod. My wife and I have been married for 58 years, have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. Originally from the east coast, we have lived in Thousand Oaks, California for the last 40 years.
