About Wartburg

Wartburg Theological Seminary has been preparing leaders for over 160 years, but we have never prepared them the same way twice. Each leader is unique, personally rounded in who God created them to be. Our graduates are skilled and artful leaders who have learned how to think – how to draw on the breadth of the Lutheran tradition and make it come alive for a new day.

Wartburg Seminary continues to create innovative degree programs that prepare leaders for ministry in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and many other denominations. Warburg Seminary students participate in a proud tradition of outstanding theological education marked by spiritual formation, contextual learning, life-giving relationships, and academic excellence.
